Our pets are running out of time to safely use their play yard.

Every dog in our care deserves a safe place to run, stretch their legs, play, and simply be a dog. But right now, the play yard they depend on is deteriorating. We’re reaching a point where we may no longer be able to safely use it.

The wooden structures are aging and deteriorating. There is little to no shade, and during Houston’s brutal summer heat, the artificial turf can become dangerously hot. The yard is also not fully enclosed, creating additional safety concerns for animals in our care.

This means the space our dogs rely on for exercise, enrichment, and a much-needed break from kennel life is quickly becoming something they can’t safely use.

We can’t let that happen.

We’re raising $30,000 to build a safer, cooler, more secure play yard with durable new features and desperately needed shade, a space where our pets can run, decompress, and enjoy being dogs while they wait for their forever families.
