This is the reality of what four five-month-old puppies are enduring with an extreme case of demodectic mange. Their skin is painfully raw, swollen, and bleeding, and much of their fur is gone. One puppy’s eyes are so inflamed she can barely open them. These images and videos are difficult to see, but they reflect the seriousness of their condition and the suffering they experienced before rescue.

Because of compassionate supporters, these puppies were brought to safety and immediately began treatment. Healing from mange this severe requires time, medical care, and close monitoring, but recovery is possible when animals are given the chance.
