Being part of our medical team can be a rewarding experience for individuals who have a passion for animals and want to contribute to their care. Volunteers will: Assist with cleaning cages and providing basic care and attention to the animals. Assist medical staff with animal handling, restraint, and minor procedures. Help prepare exam rooms, sterilize equipment, and assist with medical treatments under supervision. Client Services: Greet clients, answer phones, and schedule appointments. Provide customer service and assist with administrative tasks such as filing and data entry. Shifts: Mondays 8am-3pm | Tuesday 8am-12pm Required Training: One shadow shift
Being part of our adoption team involves assisting potential adopters in finding the right pet for their home and lifestyle. Volunteers will help match potential adopters with the right animals based on their preferences, living situation, and experience with pets. They can provide guidance and information about the adoption process, the needs of different animals, and the responsibilities of pet ownership. Volunteering as an animal rescue adoption counselor can be a rewarding way to help animals find loving homes and support adopters in the adoption process. Required Training: One shadow shift.
As a member of our events team, you will attend off-site events to help the public with any questions they have about HPA!, sell HPA! merchandise, care for dogs at events, and facilitate adoptions. Required Training: Shadow volunteers at an event
